{"id":195,"date":"2011-05-12T13:59:12","date_gmt":"2011-05-12T13:59:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.cheezepie.com\/stream\/?p=195"},"modified":"2011-06-15T09:46:51","modified_gmt":"2011-06-15T09:46:51","slug":"slow-carb-diet-recipe-idea-curried-lentils","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.cheezepie.com\/stream\/slow-carb-diet-recipe-idea-curried-lentils\/","title":{"rendered":"Slow Carb Diet recipe idea: curried lentils"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Here&#8217;s a quick and easy recipe for anyone who would like the follow the Slow Carb Diet:<\/p>\n<h3>Curried lentils<\/h3>\n<p>You will need:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 tin of green lentils<\/li>\n<li>2 cloves of garlic<\/li>\n<li>1 chilli pepper<\/li>\n<li>1 bag of ready to eat spinach<\/li>\n<li>1.5 teaspoons of cumin power<\/li>\n<li>Half a finely chopped onion<\/li>\n<li>Cooking oil<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Method<\/h3>\n<p>Heat up a tablespoon of oil in a non-stick pan on a high heat.<\/p>\n<p>Finely chop the chilli and garlic (leave the chilli seeds in if you like it hot) and add the cumin to the pan.<\/p>\n<p>When the oil is sizzling drop in the chopped chilli and garlic and give it a good stir for a minute or so.<\/p>\n<p>Add in the onion and stir again.<\/p>\n<p>Open and mostly drain the tin of lentils, for best results keeping just a little of the water that they were soaked in.<\/p>\n<p>Once the onion has turned translucent tip in the lentils and give them a good stir. The water you kept with them in the tin should help to keep the mixture moist.<\/p>\n<p>Turn the heat down to low and add in the entire bag of spinach, stir gently and put a lid on the pan.
